Frequently asked

Before you book.

Common questions about service areas, pricing, what’s included, scheduling, payment, and how we work. Don’t see yours? Ask us on the quote form.

What is included in a residential cleaning service?

A residential cleaning service covers the home from top to bottom — vacuuming and mopping floors, wiping accessible surfaces, dusting fixtures, cleaning mirrors, and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens. We work to a written checklist for the service type and adjust to your home’s specifics. To get a quote, fill out our online form or call us.

How is deep cleaning different from a standard clean?

A deep clean goes beyond surface upkeep — corners, baseboards, behind accessible appliances, light fixtures, edges, and detail work in the kitchen and bathrooms. Inside oven, inside refrigerator, and cabinet interiors can be added when scoped. Deep cleans take more time and cost more than a standard clean.

Should I tidy up before you arrive?

A full pre-clean isn’t needed, but removing personal belongings, piles of clutter, and dishes lets us get straight to work without spending time tidying around your items. Secure valuables, fragile items, and pets before we arrive.

What does a basic house cleaning service include?

A basic house cleaning includes sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, disinfecting kitchens and bathrooms, dusting accessible surfaces, and cleaning mirrors. Scope can be adjusted to fit your home, your priorities, and your budget. Add-ons (inside oven, inside refrigerator, interior windows, cabinet interiors) are available on request and quoted separately.

How often should I schedule cleaning?

It depends on your household and lifestyle. Many homeowners do monthly cleanings to maintain a baseline. Households with children or pets often prefer weekly or bi-weekly. We can build a schedule around your needs — weekly, every two weeks, monthly, or one-time only.

Do you offer fast scheduling?

We will do our best to accommodate requested timing when the schedule allows. Availability depends on service area, scope, staffing, and route timing. Reach out and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

Do I need to pay before the appointment?

Payment in full may be required before a booking is confirmed, especially for first-time, one-time, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out, turnover, or urgent appointments. Payment confirms the appointment for the agreed scope. If the property condition or requested work differs materially from what was described, additional approval/payment may be required or the scope may be adjusted.

What happens if the home is different than described?

Quotes are based on the information provided. If the property is larger, dirtier, more cluttered, has heavier pet hair/buildup, or the requested work differs from what was described, Prepared and Polished Services LLC may adjust the price, reduce the scope to fit the original quote, request additional payment, decline, or reschedule.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged a $50 fee. If we arrive and cannot access the property, the full scheduled amount may be charged. Full details are in the Basic Service Terms.

Do pets need to be secured?

Pets should be secured or managed so they do not interfere with cleaning operations or create unsafe conditions. If a pet prevents the cleaner from safely or reasonably completing the work, the service may be paused, limited, rescheduled, or ended, and no refund is guaranteed.

Do you handle short-term rental turnovers?

Yes, short-term rental turnover cleaning can be quoted when schedule, access, scope, laundry/restock needs, and location can be confirmed. Laundry and restock are included only when scoped and agreed before booking.

How can I find a cleaning service I can trust?

Look for clear scope and pricing, written checklists, professional communication, and a service that operates locally. Read online reviews when available, and ask for references. What we offer is honest scope, transparent quoting, and detailed checklist-driven service.

Do you perform background checks on staff?

We are finalizing the employee onboarding and screening process. We will update this answer when the process is active. We do not make background-check claims until they are true.

Are you insured?

We are insured.

How long does a typical cleaning take?

It depends on the home’s size and the service type. As a rough guide: a one-bedroom apartment usually takes about an hour or two; a three-bedroom, two-bathroom standard clean is typically around three to four hours; deep cleans and move-in/move-out cleans take longer. We confirm an estimated time with the quote.
